Penghargaan Video Game Spike (singkatnya VGA, dikenal sebagai VGX untuk pertunjukan terakhir) adalah acara penghargaan tahunan yang diselenggarakan oleh jaringan televisi Amerika Spike TV dari tahun 2003 hingga 2013 yang mengakui permainan komputer dan video terbaik tahun ini. Diproduksi oleh Geoff Keighley dari GameTrailers TV, acara tersebut menampilkan cuplikan pratinjau untuk game yang akan datang, pertunjukan musik langsung, dan penampilan artis populer dalam musik, film, dan televisi.

VGA diadakan di berbagai lokasi di Los Angeles dan Santa Monica, California serta Las Vegas, Nevada. Satu-satunya penghargaan Video Game Hall of Fame Spike, yang diberikan kepada The Legend of Zelda, diberikan pada acara penghargaan tahun 2011.

Pada 15 November 2013, Spike mengumumkan format baru dengan nama VGX, menyebutnya "VGA generasi berikutnya". Acara penghargaan terakhir, dengan nama ini, ditayangkan pada tanggal 7 Desember.[1] Perubahan dari format sebelumnya termasuk "demo yang diperpanjang secara mendalam dari game generasi berikutnya dan wawancara dan panel satu lawan satu yang interaktif dalam suasana studio yang intim."[2]

Pada 10 November 2014, diumumkan bahwa Spike akan menghentikan acara penghargaan mereka, mengakhiri jangka waktu satu dekade mereka.[3] Geoff Keighley melanjutkan untuk membuat acara penghargaan video game-nya sendiri dalam bentuk The Game Awards mulai tahun itu, menghentikan dukungan dari Spike.
