Pendidikan politik di Republik Rakyat Tiongkok

Pendidikan politik di Republik Rakyat Tiongkok mengacu pada berbagai metode pendidikan, beberapa di antaranya bersifat koersif atau tidak sukarela, yang bertujuan agar warga negara mengidentifikasi diri dan mendukung kebijakan Partai Komunis Tiongkok. Proses ini melibatkan pendefinisian isu-isu politik, mendidik masyarakat tentang kebijakan Partai, dan meyakinkan mereka tentang perlunya tindakan politik tertentu.[1]

Intensitas pendidikan politik bervariasi tergantung pada iklim politik dan sasaran pendidikan. Yang paling mengganggu dan menyeluruh adalah "reformasi pemikiran," yang secara beragam disebut sebagai "pendidikan ulang" atau "transformasi." Reformasi pemikiran sering kali terjadi di lingkungan yang dikontrol ketat seperti penjara atau kamp kerja paksa,[2] dan dapat melibatkan ancaman atau tindakan koersif lainnya untuk meyakinkan sasaran agar mengubah identitas ideologis atau politiknya.[3] Bentuk pendidikan politik yang paling tidak mengganggu, tetapi paling umum adalah propaganda, yang dapat disampaikan melalui media, dalam pertemuan politik, atau melalui kurikulum sekolah.
