Partai Persatuan Pembebasan Nasional (disingkat PAPERNAS) adalah sebuah partai aliansi atau front dari berbagai organisasi massa, serikat buruh, organisasi tani, organisasi mahasiswa, organisasi perempuan, organisasi seniman, maupun individu-individu.
Platform atau landasan dari persatuan organisasi-organisasi tersebut adalah perjuangan melepaskan diri dari dominasi ekonomi asing, dan membangun sistem ekonomi-politik yang mandiri dan menyejahterakan bangsa Indonesia. Fokus program dari PAPERNAS adalah penghapusan utang luar negeri, nasionalisasi/ambil-alih industri pertambangan, dan bangun pabrik/industri nasional untuk kesejahteraan rakyat. Tiga program ini disebut dengan Tri Panji Persatuan Nasional untuk Kesejahteraan Rakyat.
PAPERNAS menyelenggarakan Kongresnya yang pertama pada tanggal 18-20 Januari 2007 di Wisma Sejahtera II Kaliurang, Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta.
Sejak kelahirannya, Papernas sudah mengalami tentangan dari golongan sayap kanan.[butuh rujukan] Pada saat melangsungkan Kongres I, Papernas hendak dibubarkan oleh Front Anti Komunis Indonesia (FAKI). Pada saat melangsungkan unjuk rasa pada tanggal 29 Maret 2007, massa Papernas diserang Front Pembela Islam (FPI). Akibatnya beberapa peserta yang mayoritasnya perempuan terluka dan kaca-kaca belasan bus yang mengangkut massa Papernas dihancurkan.
Berbagai peristiwa kekerasan dan intimidasi terus menghantui partai ini.
