Naivasha adalah sebuah kota besar di County Nakuru, Kenya, terletak 93 km melalui jalan raya barat, laut dari Nairobi.

Kota ini memiliki total populasi 181.966 jiwa (sensus 2009).[1] Industri utamanya adalah pertanian, terutama florikultur.

Naivasha juga merupakan kota tujuan wisata yang populer. Taman Nasional Hell's Gate (lokasi utama film The Lion King), termasuk Pride Rock dan Gorge, yang dijadikan sebagai model berada di setelah taman nasional ini,[3] selain itu ada Taman Nasional Gunung Longonot dan Gunung Longonot serta Danau Naivasha, untuk mengamati kehidupan burung dan perilaku kuda nil,[4] dan binatang liar lainnya.

Sebuah resor di Naivasha merupakan tempat beberapa negosiasi selama Perjanjian Perdamaian Komprehensif yang mengakhiri Perang Saudara Sudan Kedua, umumnya dikenal sebagai "Perjanjian Naivasha".

Transportasi

Naivasha terletak dekat Danau Naivasha, di sepanjang jalan raya Nairobi-Nakuru (Jalan A104) dan jalur Kereta Api Uganda. Pada 2015, perpanjangan jalur sepur standar baru ke kota ini telah disetujui.[5]
