Desa Mundu (Hanacaraka: ꦏꦧꦸꦥꦠꦺꦤ꧀ꦧꦽꦧꦼꦱ꧀, Banyumasan: Desa Mundu, Mataraman dan Semarangan: Desa Mundu, Sunda: Desa Mundu) adalah salah satu Desa di Kabupaten Brebes, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Luas wilayahnya 30 km², jumlah penduduknya sekitar 6.000 jiwa (2019). Ibu kotanya ada di RT. 001 RW. 002. Mundu merupakan desa dengan jumlah penduduk menengah di Kecamatan Tanjung, dan paling Strategis di Kecamatan Tanjung ke-2 setelah Desa Tanjung.

Mundu merupakan nama suatu desa di kecamatan Tanjung, Brebes, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Dari cerita sesepuh Desa ini awalnya dipimpin Kuwu Mundu atau Kepala Desa bernama Hardiwinata yang sekarang namanya digunakan sebagai nama jalan utama desa ini dan dibantu Sekdes yang disebut dengan Carik dan saat itu Cariknya bernama Karwiyan. Kepemimpinannya dilanjutkan anaknya sebagai Kuwu yang bernama Soenarto dan Cariknya Uho dan berganti Daryani, beliau (Mantan Kuwu Soenarto) beristri dua dan dari istri pertama memiliki anak perempuan yang menikah dengan R. Sutikno (Menantu Kuwu Soenarto) yang kemudian menjadi Kepala Desa Mundu menggantikan Kuwu Soenarto sedangkan Sekdes-nya bernama Suhari. Bergulir kepemimpinan Kepala Desa kepada Wukirno kemudian berganti Kepala Desa dipimpin Tato Widagdo (Menantu Mantan Carik Suhari). Kali ini Desa Mundu dipimpin oleh Kepala Desa seorang perempuan, beliau tidak asing lagi adalah anak perempuan dari Mantan Kuwu atau Kades R. Sutikno. Warga Desa Mundu mayoritas memeluk agama Islam, hal ini dilihat dari adanya pondok pesantren yang dibuat dan dipimpin oleh Kyai Sepuh Asfani.
Saat ini Desa Mundu terdiri dari 2 Rukun Warga (RW) dan 10 Rukun Tetangga (RT). Kepala RT 01/01 Bpk Yadi, RT 02/01 Bpk Bawon, RT 03/01 Bpk Casidik, RT 04/01 Bpk Sumarto & RT 05/01 Bpk Rodin (Oding). Kepala RT 01/02 Bpk Ratmani, RT 02/02 Bpk Hasan Hariri, RT 03/02 Bpk Sucari, RT 04/02 Bpk Apung dan RT 05/02 Bpk Kanim. Sekdes bernama Bpk Irfai S.IP, Kepala Dusun 1 Bpk Edi Suyanto, Kaur Kesra Bpk Rubadi, Kaur Umum Bpk Masrukhi, Pembantu Kaur masing-masing bernama Abdullah, Sunanto dan Warsa. Organisasi kemasyarakatan: Ansor NU, Fatayat NU, Muslimat NU, IPNU, IPPNU, BANSER, GARDA BANGSA. Karang Taruna Sinar Pagi dan Klub Sepak Bola PHM (Putra Harapan Mundu).
