Muhammad bin al-Mahruq adalah seorang menteri di Keamiran Granada. Ia menjabat sebagai wakil, petinggi keuangan sultan, pada masa pemerintahan Ismail I (m. 1314–1333.[1] Ia masih menjabat saat kenaikan Muhammad IV,[1] dan beberapa bulan kemudian diangkat menjadi wali raja, menggantikan Abu al-Hasan bin Mas'ud yang wafat. Dari akhir 1326, Bin al-Mahruq terlibat dalam perang saudara melawan pesaing politik, Uthman bin Abi al-Ula. Pada akhir perang saudara, Muhammad IV memerintahkan agar ia dibunuh pada 6 November 1328, saat pertemuannya dengan nenek Sultan Fatima binti al-Ahmar.[2][3]
