Moog Inc.

Moog Inc. adalah sebuah perusahaan desain dan manufaktur navigasi pesawat dan instrumentasi mesin, instrumentasi mesin LCD dan sistem tampilan militer. Dengan lebih dari 35 tahun pengalaman dalam display kokpit, avionik dan instrumentasi, Moog adalah kontributor utama untuk keberhasilan banyak platform kedirgantaraan.[1][2][3]

Moog memiliki teknologi untuk satelit dan kendaraan luar angkasa selain berbagai aspek pertahanan seperti rudal, manajemen senjata/penyimpanan, sistem senjata meriam, teknologi angkatan laut serta sistem keamanan dan pengawasan. Salah satu sistem persenjataannya adalah Reconfigurable Integrated-weapons Platform (RIwP) yang merupakan bagian dari kendaraan Stryker yang dijual oleh General Dynamics Land Systems kepada Angkatan Darat AS.

Untuk satelit, Moog mengembangkan sistem propulsi kimia dan listrik serta kontrol gerak penerbangan luar angkasa. Berbagai kendaraan peluncuran dan rudal menggunakan kemudi dan kontrol propulsi Moog, dan Stasiun Luar Angkasa Internasional menggunakan kopling, katup, dan aktuatornya.

Moog memiliki sistem Elektro-Hidrolik dan Elektro-Mekanis sebagai bagian dari solusinya.

Pada tahun 2012, Moog mengakuisisi bisnis In-Space Propulsion (ISP) milik American Pacific Corporation (AMPAC), yang sebelumnya merupakan bagian dari Atlantic Research Corporation (ARC). Produknya termasuk keluarga pendorong berbahan bakar cair LEROS, diakuisisi oleh ARC pada tahun 1998 dan dikembangkan pada tahun 1990-an oleh Royal Ordnance (yang kemudian menjadi bagian dari British Aerospace) di Inggris; Moog mengoperasikan fasilitas manufaktur di Westcott, Buckinghamshire di bekas situs Royal Ordnance, hingga tahun 2017 ketika bisnis ISP diakuisisi oleh Nammo.

Moog menyediakan layanan industri. Untuk pasar plastik dan mesin, Moog merancang, memproduksi dan mengintegrasikan sistem untuk semua sumbu mesin injeksi dan blow molding menggunakan teknologi hidrolik dan listrik. Di pasar turbin pembangkit listrik, Moog merancang, memproduksi dan mengintegrasikan rakitan kontrol untuk aplikasi kontrol bahan bakar, uap, dan geometri variabel yang mencakup turbin angin. Pasar pembentukan logam menggunakan sistem yang dirancang dan diproduksi oleh Moog yang memberikan kontrol posisi, kecepatan, gaya, dan parameter lainnya. Industri berat menggunakan servovalve listrik dan hidrolik Moog untuk peralatan pabrik baja dan aluminium. Untuk pasar pengujian material, Moog memasok kontrol untuk pengujian otomotif, struktural, dan kelelahan. Basis simulasi gerak hidrolik dan elektromekanis perusahaan digunakan untuk pasar simulasi penerbangan dan pelatihan. Pasar lainnya termasuk penanganan dan pengujian material, motorsport (termasuk F1), pembuatan karpet, pabrik kertas dan kayu.

Moog memasarkan komponen peralatan medis. Sebagai hasil dari akuisisi Power and Data Technologies Group dari Kaydon Corporation pada bulan Juli 2005, Moog memasuki pasar aplikasi kelautan. Komponen memiliki beberapa lini produk lain yang mencakup desain dan pembuatan aktuator elektromekanis, modem serat optik, instrumentasi avionik, sakelar optik, dan pemecah masalah.

Pada tahun 2019, Moog memperkenalkan proyek baru yang bermaksud menggunakan model unik berdasarkan rantai blok dan printer 3D untuk memproduksi suku cadang pesawat, sesuai permintaan.
