Michele Bachmann

Michele Marie Bachmann (/ bɑːkmən /; née Amble, lahir April 6, 1956) adalah anggota Amerika dari Partai Republik Amerika Serikat DPR, mewakili distrik kongres 6 Minnesota, sebuah pos ia telah diselenggarakan sejak tahun 2007. Kabupaten ini meliputi beberapa pinggiran utara kota-kota kembar, serta St. Cloud. Kabupaten ini baru-baru ini diperluas.

Dia adalah seorang calon untuk nominasi Partai Republik di AS pemilihan presiden 2012, memenangkan Ames Straw Poll pada bulan Agustus 2011 tetapi putus pada Januari 2012 setelah finis di tempat keenam dalam kaukus Iowa. Bachmann sebelumnya menjabat di Senat Negara Bagian Minnesota dan adalah wanita pertama Republik untuk mewakili negara di Kongres. Dia adalah pendukung gerakan Tea Party dan pendiri House Tea Party Kaukus. Bachmann telah dijuluki sebagai "Queen of Tea Party".

Pada tanggal 29 Mei 2013, Bachmann mengumumkan bahwa ia tidak akan mencari pemilihan kembali ke tempat duduk Kongres nya pada tahun 2014.[1][2]
