Michael Ijemuan Folorunsho (lahir 7 Februari 1998) adalah pemain sepak bola profesional dari Italia yang bermain sebagai gelandang untuk Fiorentina, dengan status pinjaman dari Napoli. Ia juga bermain untuk tim nasional Italia. Folorunsho merupakan keturunan Nigeria.[2]

Karier klub

Folorunsho menghabiskan masa mudanya bersama Lazio dan bermain untuk klub akademi muda Lazio.[3] Pada tanggal 18 Juli 2017, ia menandatangani kontrak dengan klub Serie C bernama Virtus Francavilla.[4] Folorunsho melakoni debut profesionalnya di Serie C untuk Virtus Francavilla pada 26 Agustus 2017, dalam permainan melawan Lecce.[5][butuh sumber yang lebih baik] Ia memainkan 60 pertandingan Serie C untuk Virtus Francavilla dalam dua musim.[3]

Pada 13 Juli 2019, Folorunsho menandatangani kontrak permanen dengan Napoli.[6] Dia dipinjamkan dua hari kemudian ke klub Serie C lainnya, Bari selama dua tahun.[7] Napoli meminjamkan Folorunsho ke beberapa klub di Serie B: Reggina pada musim 2020–21,[8] Pordenone[9] dan Reggina[10] di musim 2021–22, dan Bari di dimusim 2022–23.[11]

Pada tanggal 16 Agustus 2023, Folorunsho setuju untuk bergabung dengan Hellas Verona dengan status pinjaman selama musim 2023–24.[12]

Pada 11 Januari 2025, Folorunsho menandatangani kontrak dengan Fiorentina dengan status pinjaman dengan opsi untuk mempermanenkan kesepakatan mereka.[13]

Karier internasional

Pada bulan Maret 2024, Folorunsho menerima panggilan pertamanya dari pelatih kepala Luciano Spalletti untuk bermain untuk memperkuat skuad senior Italia.[14][15] Namun, ia tetap berada di bangku cadangan selama pertandingan persahabatan dengan Venezuela dan Ekuador bermain di Amerika Serikat. Kemudian pada tahun yang sama, pada tanggal 6 Juni, Folorunsho dimasukkan dalam skuad Italia untuk UEFA Euro 2024.[16] Pada tanggal 9 Juni, ia memulai debutnya dalam pertandingan persahabatan melawan Bosnia dan Herzegovina di Stadio Carlo Castellani, datang sebagai pengganti pencetak gol Davide Frattesi pada menit ke-76 saat Italia menang 1–0.[17]
