Ma Kyal Sin

Ma Kyal Sin atau dikenal dengan nama Angel dan nama Chinanya Deng Jia Xi merupakan wanita tangguh pengunjuk rasa yang turut serta dalam unjuk rasa anti-kudeta militer di Myanmar, Pada Hari Rabu 3 Maret 2021.[1] Kyal Sin masih berusia 18 tahun saat tewas tertembak dalam aksi demonstrasi yang diikutinya. Kaos hitam bertuliskan “Everything will be OK” yang dipakainya menjadi viral di dunia maya.[2] Unjuk rasa yang diikutinya merupakan aksi protes pada junta militer yang melakukan kudeta sekaligus menangkap para pemimpin Myanmar, termasuk tokoh wanitanya Aung San Suu Kyi.[3]

Kehidupan awal

Kyal Sin dikenal sebagai instruktur dan juara taekwondo di Mandalay, tempat yang juga menjadi lokasi unjuk rasa yang diikutinya.[4]

Sebelum mengikuti unjuk rasa, Kyal Sin membuat tulisan di akun Facebooknya yang menyatakan golongan darahnya jika dia terluka dan meminta agar organ tubuhnya didonorkan jika dia meninggal dalam aksinya.[5]

Aksi unjuk rasa dan kematian

Menggunakan kaos hitam bertuliskan “everything will be OK,” Kyal Sin mengikuti aksi unjuk rasa tanggal 3 Maret 2021 di Mandalay. Fotonya menggunakan kaos itu menjadi viral di dunia maya.[6]

Pada saat melakukan aksi protes, Kyal Sin memecahkan pipa air agar para peserta demo dapat mencuci matanya dari gas air mata. Dia juga melempar kembali kaleng gas air mata ke arah polisi dan menyuruh rekannya berlindung saat tembakan dilepaskan.[7]

Kyal Sin tewas tertembak saat berada di garis depan aksi unjuk rasa.[7]

Pemakamannya pada tanggal 4 Maret 2021 dihadiri oleh ribuan peserta unjuk rasa.[8]

Keesokan harinya, pihak berwenang menggali makamnya dan mengambil jenazahnya untuk kepentingan otopsi. Mereka mengklaim Kya Sin tidak tertembak peluru polisi karena dia tertembak dari arah belakang, meskipun bukti foto menunjukkan posisinya sedang membelakangi polisi.[9]
