Lippo General Insurance atau yang dikenal sebagai LGI adalah sebuah perusahaan asuransi umum di Indonesia yang didirikan pada 1963 dan berkantor pusat di Jakarta.

Perusahaan pada awalnya didirikan pada dengan nama Asuransi Brawijaya. Kemudian pada tahun 1964 nama perusahaan diganti menjadi Maskapai Asuransi Marga Pusaka. Setelah berjalan selama delapan belas tahun, pada 1982 nama perusahaan disempurnakan menjadi Asuransi Marga Pusaka.

Selanjutnya, pada 1991 perusahaan mengubah kedudukan usaha yang semula di Surabaya menjadi di Jakarta. Kemudian pada tahun itu juga nama perusahaan diubah menjadi Lippo Insurance.

Pada tahun 2013, perusahaan mendirikan Lippo Life Assurance, perusahaan asuransi jiwa yang telah mendapatkan izin usaha dari OJK pada 2014.

Perusahaan mencatatkan sahamnya di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada 1997.[1]
