Lajos Kossuth de Udvard et Kossuthfalva (bahasa Hungaria: [ˈlɒjoʃ ˈkoʃut], Slowakia: Ľudovít Košút, Inggris lama: Louis Kossuth) 19 September 1802 – 20 Maret 1894) adalah seorang pengacara, jurnalis, politikus, negarawan dan Presiden-Gubernur Kerajaan Hungaria pada masa revolusi 1848–49. Berkat bakatnya sebagai orator yang ulung, ia berhasil naik jabatan dari latar belakang keluarga bangsawan yang miskin menjadi tokoh revolusi Hungaria. Seperti yang dikatakan oleh jurnalis Amerika Serikat Horace Greeley pada masa hidupnya, “Dari antara orator, negarawan, orang yang dibuang, tidak ada yang mengunggulinya, hidup atau mati.”^[1]^[2] Pidato Kossuth yang menggelegar bahkan menyentuh orator Amerika Serikat Daniel Webster hingga ia menulis buku tentang kehidupan Kossuth.^[3] Kossuth sangat dihormati pada masa hidupnya, termasuk di Britania Raya dan Amerika Serikat. Ia dikenal sebagai pejuang kemerdekaan dan tokoh demokrasi di Eropa. Patung kepala Kossuth dapat ditemukan di Capitol Amerika Serikat dengan tulisan "Bapak Demokrasi Hungaria, Negarawan Hungaria, Pejuang Kemerdekaan, 1848–1849.
