Komik roman

Komik roman (atau belakangan lebih dikenal dengan istilah komik romantis) adalah komik yang menggambarkan cerita romantis dan kerumitannya seperti rasa cemburu, pernikahan, pengkhianatan, dan sakit hati. Istilah ini umumnya terkait erat dengan genre komik Amerika yang diterbitkan pada tiga dasawarsa pertama Perang Dingin (1947–1977).[1]

Di Indonesia, istilah komik roman erat kaitannya dengan khazanah dunia komik pada era 60/70-an. Nama-nama seperti Zaldy dan Sim menjadi ikon genre ini. Nama-nama besar pembuat komik genre ini di antaranya juga adalah Ganes T.H, dan Jan Mintaraga.[2] Sementara itu, Arswendo Atmowiloto menyebut genre ini sebagai genre Cinta Jakarta. Sementara Marcel Bonnef, peneliti komik Indonesia asal Prancis, menyebutnya roman remaja.[3]
