Kesehatan global adalah kesehatan penduduk dalam lingkup global.[1] Kesehatan global didefinisikan sebagai "bidang studi, penelitian, dan praktik yang mengutamakan perbaikan kesehatan dan pemerataan kesehatan untuk semua orang di dunia".[2] Permasalahan yang melintasi perbatasan negara atau berdampak global secara politik dan ekonomi sering menjadi perhatian utama.[3] Karena itu, kesehatan global lebih berfokus pada perbaikan kesehatan seluruh dunia, pengurangan kesenjangan, dan perlindungan terhadap ancaman global yang tidak memandang batas negara.[4] Kesehatan global berbeda dengan kesehatan internasional, cabang kesehatan masyarakat yang berfokus pada negara-negara berkembang dan bantuan asing dari negara-negara maju.[5]
Lembaga besar yang terkait dengan kesehatan global (dan kesehatan internasional) adalah Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO). Lembaga lainnya yang memiliki dampak pada kesehatan global meliputi UNICEF, World Food Programme, dan Bank Dunia. Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa juga berperan dalam perumusan Tujuan Pembangunan Milenium (MDG).[6]
