Keping hoki

Keping hoki adalah disk yang terbuat dari karet vulkanisasi yang melayani fungsi yang sama di berbagai permainan seperti halnya bola dalam permainan bola. Penggunaan keping yang paling terkenal adalah dalam hoki es, olahraga internasional utama. Keping hoki juga disebut sebagai "Bola Sempit".

Hoki es dan berbagai gim pendahulunya memanfaatkan bola hingga akhir abad ke-19. Pada 1870-an, pucks datar terbuat dari kayu dan karet. Pada awalnya, pucks berbentuk bujur sangkar. Gim hoki es terorganisir pertama yang direkam menggunakan keping kayu, untuk mencegahnya meninggalkan arena permainan.[1] Keping karet pertama kali dibuat dengan mengiris bola karet, lalu memotong cakram persegi. Victoria Hockey Club of Montreal dikreditkan dengan membuat dan menggunakan pucks babak pertama, pada tahun 1880-an.[2]
