Kazutoshi Mori (森 和俊, Mori Kazutoshi, lahir 1958) adalah ahli biologi molekuler Jepang yang dikenal atas penelitian pada respons protein takterlipat. Ia merupakan profesor biofisika di Sekolah Magister Sains, Universitas Kyoto,[1] dan berbagi Penghargaan Albert Lasker untuk Penelitian Kedokteran Dasar 2014 dengan Peter Walter atas penemuan mengenai respons protein takterlipat — sistem kendali mutu yang mendeteksi protein salah lipat berbahaya dalam retikulum endoplasma dan mengirim sinyal ke nukleus untuk melakukan tindakan perbaikan.[2]

Kehidupan

Mori lahir pada 1958 di Kurashiki, Okayama, dan lulus dari Fakultas Ilmu Farmasi di Universitas Kyoto pada 1981. Ia ditunjuk sebagai asisten profesor di Universitas Farmasi Gifu pada 1985 sebelum menjadi anggota pascadoktoral di Universitas Pusat Kedokteran Texas Southwestern pada 1989. Ia merupakan peneliti di Institut Penelitian Protein Kejutan Panas di Kyoto dari 1993 hingga 1999, dan menjadi anggota fakultas di Universitas Kyoto sejak 1999.[3]
