Kambisol di Tuscany

Kambisol merupakan jenis tanah yang tumbuh di atas batu kapur. Horison tanah ini berwarna merah tua sampai coklat kemerahan tua dan memiliki tekstur tanah sedang atau halus.[1] Tanah kambisol dapat ditemukan di hampir semua zona iklim, kecuali di daerah gersang. Kondisi tersebut membuat tanah ini diklasifikasikan sebagai tanah yang dapat berkembang dengan baik atau tanah yang tidak terbatas pada zona iklim manapun. Tanah kambisol dapat berkembang dalam berbagai cara tergantung pada proses dominan yang terjadi di lanskap dan wilayah geografis tertentu. Berdasarkan data FAO tahun 1998, tanah kambisol meliputi wilayah seluas kurang lebih 925 juta hektar di seluruh dunia dan menjadi kelompok tanah terbesar kedua di dunia.[2]

Tanah kambisol terbagi menjadi beberapa jenis, yaitu sebagai berikut:[3]
