KBS Cool FM (Bahasa Korea: KBS 쿨FM), dikenal juga dengan KBS 2FM KBS 제2FM 방송) adalah stasiun radio Hot AC 24 Jam yang dioperasikan oleh KBS. Stasiun radio ini kebanyakan memutar musik K-pop dari 90an berbanding dengan KBS Radio 2 / Happy FM yang memutarkan lagu Hits/trending. Acara yang terkenal di KBS Cool FM adalah Popular Plaza, Volume Up, dan Kiss the Radio.

Sejarah

Era Radio TBC

  • 26 Jun 1965: Perusahaan Penyiaran Tongyang (Hangul : 동양 방송 공사) (Bekas badan JTBC .) diluncurkan.
  • 27 Jun 1965: Penyiaran Radio Seoul (Hangul : 라디오 서울 방송) HLCD 639 kHz Memulakan penyiaran.
  • 1966: Dinamakan semula sebagai Radio TBC. 89.1 MHz FM Repeater (Standard FM) dilancarkan. Tanda panggilan ditukar kepada HLKC/HLKC-SFM
  • 1970: Radio TBC Memulai Siaran FM Stereo Pertama Korea Selatan.
  • 1 Disember 1980: TBC Radio terpaksa digabungkan menjadi KBS Radio oleh undang-undang khas Chun Doo-hwan sebagai presiden pihak berkuasa tentera.

Era KBS 2FM

  • 25 Desember 1980: Dilancarkan semula sebagai KBS 2FM (Bahasa Korea: KBS 제2FM) dengan format Trot dan Musik populer. Tanda panggil ditukar kepada HLKC-FM dan 639 Pengulang kHz AM menghentikan penyiaran dengan frekuensi yang digunakan untuk membentuk KBS Radio 3. Penyiaran iklan yang telah dimansuhkan dan mula menyiarkan rancangan terpilih di seluruh negara melalui Siaran Silang dengan Rangkaian FM Tempatan KBS (terdiri daripada bekas stesen Radio TBC wilayah.) bersama KBS 1FM .
  • 24 Disember 1988: KBS 2FM Memulakan Siaran Separa 24 jam (Isnin~Jumaat 24 jam dan Sabtu~Ahad 18 jam).
  • 30 Mei 1990: Kuasa penghantaran meningkat (TPO :1 kW ERP :173.5 kW → TPO :10 kW ERP :350 kW)
  • 1 Oktober 1994: Siaran 24 jam bermula.

Era Cool FM

  • 1 Januari 2002: Iklan komersial menyambung semula siaran di 2FM dan siaran silang seluruh negara dengan rangkaian FM Tempatan yang telah dimansuhkan.
  • 10 Oktober 2003: Dilancarkan semula sebagai KBS Cool FM (Bahasa Korea : KBS 쿨FM)
  • 3 Maret 2005: KBS Cool FM Membuka studionya kepada umum bersama KBS Radio 2 .
  • 2006: Memulakan siaran radio visual (BORA) di internet.
  • 2 Mac 2010: KBS Memindahkan pemancar radio Cool FM dari Gunung Namsan ke Gunung Gwanaksan .
  • 2016: KBS 2FM Menyambung semula penyiaran kebangsaan program terpilih melalui Siaran Silang dengan Stasiun Radio 2 Lokal dengan rancangan Radio Park Myeong-su menjadi rancangan pertama yang didengari di peringkat nasional.
