Jumeirah

Jumeirah merupakan sebuah area perumahan pinggir pantai di Dubai, Uni Emirat Arab yang berisi rumah pribadi tingkat rendah. Daerah ini memiliki properti besar dan mahal juga rumah yang dibangun dengan berbagai macam gaya arsitektural. Area ini populer dengan ekspatriat Barat yang bekerja di emirat ini dan dikenal oleh turis yang mengunjungi Dubai.

Menurut sejarah, orang Arab yang menetap di Jumeirah adalah nelayan, pencari mutiara dan pedagang. Pada masa modern (1960), Jumeirah menjadi area utama bagi perumahan ekspatriat barat, tetapi perluasan emirat Dubai sejak 1955 telah menghasilkan pertumbuhan pembangunan perumahan besar di Dubai.

Jumeirah disetujui sebagai bagian eksklusif di Dubai dan menggunakan nama Jumeirah sebagai merek (contohnya "Jumeirah Beach Hotel" dan "Jumeirah Beach Club"). Keluarga pemimpin Dubai telah menyebut jaringan hotel mereka, "Jumeirah" (sebelumnya "Jumeirah International").

Terdapat sebuah persetujuan untuk konstruksi hotel dan fasilitas lainnya di sepanjang Pantai Jumeirah termasuk hotel Burj Al Arab yang terkenal di dunia.

Jumeirah memiliki sebuah masjid terkenal, yaitu Masjid Jumeirah.

Akhir-akhir ini, sebuah komplek bernama Madinat Jumeirah, atau "Jumeirah City", dibuka. Komplek ini mencakup sebuah pusat perbelanjaan bergaya arsitektural, dua hotel mewah berbintang lima, dan beberapa area perumahan. Telah diumumkan bahwa komplek ini menjadi "simbol keramahan orang Arab di Dubai".

Terdapat kompetisi dari beberapa area baru, dan beberapa penduduk Jumeirah telah pindah ke beberapa area berikut, seperti Dubai Marina, The Palm Islands, The Gardens, dan Madinat Jumeirah, Jumeirah masih menjadi salah satu area termahal dan eksklusif di Dubai.
