Julian Hudson Mayfield (6 Juni 1928 – 20 Oktober 1984) adalah aktor, sutradara, penulis, dosen, dan aktivis hak asasi manusia berkebangsaan Amerika Serikat.

Latar belakang

Julian Hudson Mayfield lahir pada tanggal 6 Juni 1928, di Greer, South Carolina, dan tinggal sejak umur lima tahun di Washington, D.C.[1] Dia menjalani pendidikan di Paul Laurence Dunbar High School dan di sana dia memutuskan menjalani kariernya sebagai seorang penulis. Setelah tamat sekolah menengah, dia bergabung dengan Angkatan Darat Amerika Serikat pada tahun 1946 dan bertugas di Hawaii sebelum dipulangkan secara terhormat. Dia belajar di Universitas Lincoln di Pennsylvania.[2][3][4][5]
