Istana Drottningholm (bahasa Swedia: Drottningholms slott) merupakan tempat kediaman pribadi keluarga Kerajaan Swedia. Terletak di Drottningholm. Dibangun di atas pulau Lovön (di Ekerö Municipality, Stockholm County), bangunan ini merupakan salah satu dari Istana Kerajaan Swedia. Asalnya dibangun pada akhir abad ke-16. Digunakan sebagai kediaman keluarga kerajaan Swedia selama abad ke-18. Selain sebagai kediaman pribadi keluarga kerajaan Swedia, istana ini merupakan tujuan wisata yang populer.

Sejarah

Nama Drottningholm (secara harfiah berarti "Pulau Ratu") berasal dari bangunan asalnya yang bercorak renaissance dari perancang Willem Boy, sebuah istana dari batu yang dibangun oleh John III dari Swedia pada tahun 1580 untuk ratunya, Catherine Jagellon. Istana ini berawal dari This palace was preceded by a royal mansion called Torvesund.[1]
