Injil Sinoptik

Injil Sinoptik adalah Injil Perjanjian Baru dalam Alkitab yang ditulis oleh Matius, Markus, dan Lukas. Injil sinoptik sering kali menulis kisah yang sama tentang Yesus, tetapi dengan penjelasan dan panjang yang berbeda, tetapi memiliki urutan yang sama dan banyak menggunakan kata yang sama. Kemiripan di antara tiga buku tersebut sangat dekat sehingga banyak peneliti yang menandainya sebagai masalah sinoptik.

Injil kanonikal ke-4, Injil Yohanes, berbeda jauh dengan sinoptik dalam Kristologi, pengajaran Yesus, mukjizat, gaya tulisan, dan lainnya.

Asal kata

Kata sinoptik berasal dari kombinasi dari bahasa Yunani συν (syn = bersama) dan οψις (opsis = melihat) untuk menandakan bahwa isi dari ketiga Injil tersebut dapat dilihat berdampingan.

Seorang sejarawan Gereja perdana, Eusebius dari Kaisaria (abad ke-4, menyusun sebuah cara yang memungkinkan para sarjana untuk menemukan teks-teks yang paralel. Namun baru pada abad ke-18, Johann Jakob Griesbach mengembangkan pemahaman modern tentang Injil sinoptis.

Hipotesis

Griesbach menggunakannya untuk mempelajari dan memperlihatkan bahwa para penulis kitab Injil Matius dan Lukas telah menggunakan Injil Markus dalam penulisan mereka. Hipotesis ini berasal dari tradisi Gereja yang paling awal, yang berpegang pada hipotesis Augustinian. Dalam bentuknya yang lebih dipertajam, hipotesis ini telah mendapatkan dukungan dari para ahli sejak awal abad ke-20. Namun kebanyakan rekan mereka mendukung hipotesis modern yang menyatakan bahwa Markus adalah Injil yang pertama ditulis. Hipotesis ini didasarkan pada bukti-bukti internal dari naskah aslinya.

Ketiga Injil Sinoptik mengandung banyak cerita yang sama, sering dalam urutan yang sama dan kadang-kadang dengan kata-kata yang tepat sama. Salah satu hipotesis mengenai kemiripan ini adalah "Hipotesis dua sumber" (two-source hypothesis), yaitu bahwa Injil Matius dan Lukas masing-masing mengambil dari Injil Markus dan Naskah Q (lihat bagian "Hipotesis"). Hingga kini dokumen hipotetis ini belum pernah ditemukan atau disebutkan dalam teks-teks Kristen. Karena sejarah tidak berhasil menemukan sedikitpun bukti adanya Sumber Q ini, maka banyak pakar modern menolak hipotesis ini.^[1]

Dalam buku The Four Gospels: A Study of Origins ("Empat Injil: Studi Asal Muasal") (1924), Burnett Hillman Streeter berpendapat bahwa ada sumber lain yang juga bersifat hipotetik (dugaan), yang disebut "sumber L",^[2] yang mendasari materi dalam Injil Lukas yang tidak ditemukan dalam Injil Markus maupun Matius.^[3] Ini disebut sebagai "Hipotesis Empat Dokumen" ("Four Document Hypothesis")
