Ida Bagus Made Widja


Ida Bagus Made Widja adalah seorang pelukis tradisional Bali yang terkenal dengan karya-karyanya yang dikoleksi oleh Soekarno sejak tahun 1950-an. Ia melukis sekitar tahun 1933 atas didikan I Nyoman Patera. Ia lahir pada 5 Agustus 1912 dan meninggal pada 2 Agustus 1992 di Batuan, Gianyar, Bali.[1][2]

Ida Bagus Made Widja telah memamerkan hasil karyanya di berbagai wilayah dan dikoleksi oleh Museum Arma-Ubud, Museum Puri Lukisan-Ubud, Museum Neka-Ubud, Museum Bali-Denpasar, Rijksmuseum voor Volkenkunde-Leiden, dan beberapa museum lainnya. Pada tahun 1978, Ia mendapat perhargaan seni dari Sekolah Tinggi Seni Rupa Indonesia (ASRI). Tahun 1982, ia mendapat medali Wija Kusuma dan Dharma Kusuma dari Pemerintah Bali. Kemudian pada tahun 1985 dan 1990, mendapat Anugerah Seni Repulik Indonesia dan penghargaan dari Institut Seni Indonesia.[1]

Karyanya bisa dijumpai di East-West Center di Hawaii, Singapore Art Museum, Galeri Nasional Jakarta, dan beberapa tempat lainnya.[1]
