Hari Kopi Internasional

Secangkir kopi

Hari Kopi adalah perayaan tahunan yang dirayakan pada tanggal yang berbeda-beda di setiap negara untuk merayakan kenikmatan minuman kopi[1][2] sekaligus meningkatkan kepedulian terhadap petani kopi.[3] Hari Kopi pertama kali diperingati pada tanggal 1 Oktober 2015 oleh Organisasi Kopi Internasional[4] di Milan.[5] Pada Hari Kopi, mereka berkampanye tentang perdagangan kopi yang adil serta kesejahteraan para petani kopi.[6] Saat ini, berbagai bisnis di seluruh dunia menawarkan kopi secara gratis ataupun harga yang murah[7] terutama kepada pelanggan loyal, hingga tawaran menarik mengenai kopi melalui jejaring sosial.[8]

Di Indonesia, beberapa daerah menggelar acara Hari Kopi serentak. Contohnya di Yogyakarta, sejak tahun 2016 selalu rutin menyelenggarakan acara di beberapa tempat. Salah satunya Jogja Coffee Event yang diselenggarakan oleh Komunitas Kopi Yogyakarta dan Kopiparti.[butuh rujukan]
