Haji Sumatrabhumi

Haji Sumatrabhumi (artinya "raja tanah Sumatra")[1][2] adalah seorang raja Sriwijaya yang mengirimkan utusan ke Tiongkok pada tahun 1017.[3][4] Namanya tercatat dalam sumber Tiongkok sebagai Ha-ch'i-su-wa-ch'a-p'u.[5][6] Gelar "haji" umumnya merupakan gelar untuk raja bawahan.[7]

Para utusan yang dikirimkan Haji Sumatrabhumi membawa surat bertulisan emas, dengan persembahan hadiah mutiara, gading, buku berbahasa Sanskerta, serta budak.[5][8] Kaisar Tiongkok sangat berkenan kepada mereka, dan mengijinkan para utusan tersebut melihat-lihat bangunan kerajaan, sebelum membawa pulang surat balasan beserta beragam hadiah lainnya.[5]

Pada masa pemerintahannya, Sriwijaya diperkirakan mulai mengalami serangan dari Chola, yang puncaknya terjadi pada tahun 1025 di bawah pimpinan Raja Rajendra I.[3] Kejadian tersebut tercatat pada Prasasti Tanjore.[3]

Penguasa Sriwijaya sesudahnya adalah Sangrama Vijayottunggawarman, yang tertawan oleh pasukan Chola dalam serangannya ke Kedah (Kadaram).[3]
