Guaifenesin atau gliseril guaiakolat (disingkat GG) adalah obat yang digunakan untuk mengatasi gejala batuk berdahak dari saluran pernafasan . [2] Belum diketahui secara jelas apakah guaifenesin bisa mengurangi gejala batuk. [2] Penggunaan obat guaifenesin tidak direkomendasikan untuk anak dibawah usia 6 tahun. [3] Penggunaan guaifenesin sering dikombinasikan dengan obat lain. [2] Rute pemberian obat ini melalui oral. [2]

Efek samping obat yang umum terjadi pada penggunaan obat ini seperti pusing, kantuk, ruam kulit, dan mual. [4] Penggunaan obat ini untuk ibu hamil obat ini sepertinya aman, walaupun belum diteliti secara lanjut. [5] Mekanisme kerja guaifenesin diyakini bekerja dengan membuat sekresi saluran napas lebih cair. [2]
