Fiat 126 adalah mobil ekonomi kecil atau city car bermesin belakang, diperkenalkan pada Oktober 1972 di Turin Auto Show sebagai pengganti Fiat 500. Mayoritas 126 diproduksi di Bielsko-Biała, Polandia, sebagai Polski Fiat 126p, di mana produksi berlanjut hingga tahun 2000. Di beberapa pasar, Fiat menghentikan penjualan 126 pada tahun 1993. Pada panjang kendaraan 3.05 meter, Fiat 126 hampir sama ukurannya dengan kendaraan asal Inggris, Mini Cooper, dan meskipun datang ke pasar 14 tahun kemudian, produksi berakhir pada tahun yang sama (2000), dan total penjualannya hampir 4.7 juta unit lebih jauh dari Mini 5.4 juta unit. Di Polandia mobil menjadi ikon budaya dan mendapat julukan Maluch, yang berarti "Si Kecil" atau "Balita".[1][2]
