Erwin Neher (lahir 20 Maret 1944) ialah seorang biofisikawan Jerman. Erwin Neher belajar fisika di Universitas Teknik Munchen antara tahun 1963-1966. Pada tahun 1966, ia dianugerahi Beasiswa Fulbright untuk belajar di Amerika Serikat. Ia menghabiskan setahun di University of Wisconsin-Madison, dan menerima gelar magister di bidang biofisika.

Pada tahun 1986, ia dianugerahi Penghargaan Louisa Gross Horwitz dari Columbia University bersama dengan Bert Sakmann, pemenang Hadiah Nobel Fisiologi atau Kedokteran tahun 1991.

Pada tahun 1987, ia dianugerahi Gottfried-Wilhelm-Leibniz-Preis dari Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, penghargaan tertinggi yang dianugerahkan di dunia riset Jerman. Bersama dengan Sakmann, ia dianugerahi Penghargaan Nobel dalam Kedokteran atau Fisiologi pada tahun 1991 untuk pengembangan teknik tambal-sulam,[1][2][3][4] karya yang dimulai Neher sebagai anggota pascadoktoral di laboratorium milik Charles F. Stevens di Universitas Yale, dan kemudian dilanjutkan di Max-Planck-Institut für biophysikalische Chemie, Göttingen.
