Adolphus Egerton Ryerson (24 Maret 1803 – 19 Februari 1882) adalah seorang pengajar dan pendeta Methodis Kanada yang menjadi kontributor utama dari rancanagn sistem sekolah negeri Kanada dan sistem sekolah asrama Indian Kanada. Setelah menyunting surat kabar denominasi Methodis The Christian Guardian, Ryerson diangkat menjadi Kepala Pendidikan Kanada Hulu oleh Gubernur Jenderal Sir Charles Metcalfe pada 1844. selama menjabat, ia mendukung reformasi-reformasi seperti membentuk sekolah-sekolah asrama, membuat buku-buku pelajaran, dan mendirikan sekolah-sekolah gratis. Atas jasanya dalam pendidikan di Ontario, namanya diabadikan dalam Universitas Ryerson, Ryerson Press, dan Ryerson, Ontario.
