Ecer hibur

Ecer hibur atau riteltainmen adalah pemasaran eceran sebagai hiburan . Dalam bukunya, Enchanting a Disenchanted World: Revolutionizing the Means of Consumption (1999), penulis George Ritzer mendeskripsikan "ecer hibur" sebagai "penggunaan suasana, emosi, suara, dan aktivitas untuk membuat pelanggan tertarik pada barang dagangan dan dalam suasana hati untuk membeli. ." [1]

Kadang-kadang disebut "ecer penarik minat" atau "jual hibur", [2] ini juga telah didefinisikan sebagai "tren modern yang menggabungkan peluang belanja dan hiburan sebagai jangkar bagi pelanggan."

Pada tahun 2001, Codeluppi menggambarkannya sebagai cara pemasar untuk "menawarkan sensasi fisik dan emosional kepada konsumen selama pengalaman berbelanja." Dan, dalam sebuah artikel berjudul "Using sonic branding in the retail environment" dalam Journal of Consumer Behavior edisi 2003, Fulberg menggambarkannya sebagai cara pengecer untuk menghibur konsumen dengan dramatisasi nilai-nilai mereka."

Menurut Michael Morrison di Australian Centre for Retail Studies:

“Ada pergerakan menuju konsep 'ecer hibur.' Fenomena ini, yang menyatukan ritel, hiburan, musik, dan waktu luang . . . Pengecer perlu melihat lebih jauh dari elemen toko ritel tradisional seperti warna, pencahayaan, dan pembarang-dagangan visual untuk memengaruhi keputusan pembelian. Suasana khusus yang diciptakan pengecer, dalam beberapa kasus, dapat lebih berpengaruh dalam proses pengambilan keputusan daripada produk itu sendiri. Karena barang dan jasa menjadi lebih dari komoditas, apa yang dialami pembelanja dan suasana apa yang diciptakan pengecer itulah yang benar-benar penting. Membangun merek adalah kombinasi dari elemen fisik, fungsional, operasional dan psikologis. Konsumen akan bersedia membayar lebih untuk sebuah merek jika ada nilai tambah yang dirasakan atau aktual dari pengalaman mereka menggunakan produk atau layanan tersebut.” [3]

Pakar pemasaran pembelanja Simon Temperley dari agensi Los Angeles The Marketing Arm, sebelumnya US Marketing & Promotions (Usmp), menjelaskan "ecer hibur" sebagai "pengalaman merek langsung" yang sering kali mencakup penggunaan "duta merek" yang "berbicara dengan konsumen. " [4]
