"Dreamlover" adalah lagu musisi asal Amerika Serikat, Mariah Carey, yang dirilis pada tanggal 27 Juli 1993 sebagai singel utama dari album studio ketiganya, Music Box (1993). Lirik lagu tersebut diciptakan oleh Mariah Carey, dengan musiknya digubah oleh Mariah Carey dan Dave Hall, dan diproduseri oleh Mariah Carey, Dave Hall, dan Walter Afanasieff. "Dreamlover" menerima ulasan positif dari para kritikus musik kontemporer, banyak dari mereka memuji sampel lagu tersebut serta gaya vokal Mariah Carey yang ceria.

Video musik

Video musik "Dreamlover" disutradarai oleh Diane Martel dan perekaman video dilakukan di New York bagian utara pada Juni 1993.[1] Video tersebut menampilkan adegan Mariah berenang di kolam kecil di dekat air terjun, naik balon udara panas yang berwarna-warni, dan berdansa bersama beberapa penari pria.[2] Saat video dimulai, adegan menampilkan Mariah sedang berenang di dalam air sambil mengenakan pakaian. Ia segera naik ke permukaan untuk menghirup udara, kemudian berada di atas hamparan bunga. Saat ia bermain-main dan berguling-guling di lapangan, dipotong oleh adegannya sedang naik balon udara panas.[2] Anjingnya, Jack, muncul dan mengikutinya melalui ladang dan kolam. Setelah beberapa saat menari bersama beberapa penari pria, Mariah pergi bersama anjingnya saat video berakhir.[2] Setelah merekam video tersebut, Mariah mengungkapkan bahwa airnya di kolam tersebut sangat dingin sehingga ia menolak untuk berenang sampai sutradara video, Diane, menyelam terlebih dahulu ke dalam kolam tersebut. Penulis Chris Nickson merasakan video tersebut menangkap sifat lembut dan rileks dari lagunya: "Perasaan santai, hampir sama seperti klip-klip dari video rumah yang diedit bersama-sama yang mengabadikan kehangatan dari lagu tersebut."[2]

Pada 7 Agustus 2020 Dreamlover menjadi video kelima Carey yang direstorasi dalam format video definisi tinggi 1080p.
