Demografi Kazakhstan dapat diartikan sebagai demografi dari aspek populasi atau kependudukan di Kazakhstan, termasuk diantaranya pertumbuhan penduduk, kepadatan penduduk, etnis, tingkat pendidikan, kesehatan, status ekonomi, afiliasi agama, dan berbagai aspek lainnya dari populasi. Kazakh merujuk ke Kazakstan dan wilayahnya serta warga negara tanpa memandang suku.[2][3][4][5]

Perkiraan resmi populasi Kazakhstan pada Desember 2017 sebanyak 18.137.300 jiwa, 44% diantaranya adalah penduduk pedesaan dan 56% penduduk perkotaan.[6] Populasi Kazakhstan pada tahun 2009 diperkirakan 6,8% lebih tinggi dibanding populasi yang dilaporkan dalam sensus terakhir dari Januari 1999 (sekitar 15 juta).

Dalam laporan yang dirilis oleh Departemen Ekonomi dan Sosial Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs disingkat "DESA") pada September 2021, tingkat penduduk urbanisasi di Kazakhstan diperkirakan mencapai 69,1% pada 2050.[7]

Sementara perbandingan penduduk laki-laki dan perempuan, populasi laki-laki mencapai 48,3%, sementara perempuan sebanyak 51,7%. Dari segi etnis, pada tahun 2009, orang Kazakh menjadi dominan, yakni sekitar 63,6%, Rusia sebanya 23,7%, Uzbek 2,9%, Ukraina 2,1%, Uygur 1,4%, Tatar 1,3%, Jerman 1,1%, etnis lainnya 3,9%. Penting untuk diperhatikan bahwa sebagian besar penduduk Kazakhstan adalah etnis campuran.

Sensus penduduk pertama di Kazakhstan dilakukan di bawah pemerintahan Kekaisaran Rusia pada tahun 1897. Jumlah penduduk Kazahstan pada saat itu diperkirakan berjumlah 4 juta orang. Tren pertumbuhan penduduk mengalami penambahan jumlah pada sensus selanjutnya. Namun, pada rentang waktu tahun 1922 dan 1933, bencana kelaparan melanda Kazahkstan, sehingga ada sekitar penurunan penduduk hingga 6.081 jiwa. Setelah itu, penduduk Kazahkstan cenderung mengalami kenaikan.

Sejak tahun 1939, penduduk Kazakhstan sebanyak 16,5 juta jiwa pada tahun 1989. Pada tahun 1993 bertambah menjadi 17 juta jiwa, namun terjadi penurunan menjadi 15 juta pada sensus 1999. Dan menurun menjadi 14,9 juta pada tahun 2002, dan selanjutnya mengalami tren penambahan populasi.[8]
