Cossypha adalah burung pemakan serangga kecil, dengan sebagian besar spesies disebut decu-berkecet. Mereka sebelumnya termasuk dalam keluarga Anis (burung) Turdidae, tetapi sekarang lebih sering dianggap sebagai bagian dari Muscicapidae penangkap lalat Dunia Lama .
Nama Cossypha untuk genus ini diperkenalkan oleh ahli zoologi Irlandia Nicholas Aylward Vigors pada tahun 1825 [1] Kata ini berasal dari bahasa Yunani Klasik kossuphos untuk burung hitam atau sariawan.[2]
