Daniel Padilla adalah album mini yang bernama sendiri yang dirilis di bawah Star Records pada tanggal 27 Mei 2012, di Filipina dalam format CD dan digital.[1][2][3] Album ini beradi di posisi puncak laporan penjualan nasional Musik dan Video Odyssey. Mendapat sertifikat double platinum pada Februari 2013. Daniel Padilla meraih Awit Awards 2013 kategori Penjualan Album Terbaik Tahun ini.[4]

Latar belakang

Daniel dan Jonathan Manalo pertama kali merekam "Tinatago-Tago Ako". Daniel tak hanya merekam lagu tersebut namun juga memberikan masukan pada aransemen musik supaya cocok dengan suaranya. Jonathan memujinya, "...anak ini tahu jenis musiknya".

Penampilan komersial

‘’Hinahanap-Hanap Kita’’ adalah single digital pertama dari album ini, dirilis tanggal 20 April 2012.[5][6] Lagu ini adalah milik Rivermaya. Lagu ini menjadi salah satu lagu pengisi sinetron yang dibintanginya, ABS-CBN, Princess and I. Selain itu juga dijadikan sebagai lagu untuk iklan Whisper. Setelah dua bulan single kedua ‘’Prinsesa’’ dirilis. Musik video lagu tersebut disutradarai oleh Galileo dan dirilis tanggal 24 Agustsu 2012. ‘Video musik tersebut berada di posisi puncak Myx Pinoy Caountdown. "Prinsesa" menerima nominasi Myx Music Awards 2013 kategori ‘’Daur Ulang Favorit’’.[7]

Reception
