Crunchyroll adalah layanan streaming video on-demand over-the-top berlangganan Amerika yang dimiliki oleh Sony melalui usaha patungan antara Sony Pictures dan Aniplex dari Sony Music Entertainment Japan. Perusahaan ini berfokus pada distribusi, produksi, dan lisensi anime dan dorama Jepang. Didirikan pada tahun 2006 oleh sekelompok mahasiswa lulusan Universitas California, Berkeley,[3] saluran distribusi dan program kemitraan Crunchyroll memberikan konten kepada lebih dari 35 juta anggota komunitas daring di seluruh dunia. Crunchyroll adalah anak perusahaan Ellation, bagian dari Otter Media milik WarnerMedia.[4] Crunchyroll memiliki kantor di San Francisco, Chisinau, dan Tokyo, dan merupakan anggota Asosiasi Animasi Jepang (AJA).[1]
Crunchyroll menawarkan lebih dari 900 seri anime,[1] lebih dari 200 drama Asia untuk penggunanya, dan 50 seri manga, meskipun tidak semua program tersedia di seluruh dunia karena pembatasan lisensi.
