Charles Honoris (lahir 23 Juli 1984) adalah anggota DPR RI dari Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan Dapil DKI III (Jakarta Utara, Jakarta Barat, dan Kepulauan Seribu); telah menikah dengan Irene Bertina Irawan dan bertempat tinggal di wilayah Jakarta Barat. Charles adalah salah satu kader muda Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDI-P) .[1] Ia terpilih sebagai anggota DPR RI pada Pemilu 2014 dengan memperoleh 96.842 suara.[2] Pada Pemilu 2019 Charles terpilih kembali dengan memperoleh 102.408 suara.

Saat ini Charles menjabat sebagai wakil ketua Komisi IX DPR RI yang membidangi kesehatan dan ketenagakerjaan.

Charles mengenyam pendidikan ilmu politik di International Christian University Tokyo, Jepang.[1][3] Selama pendidikan di Jepang, Charles Honoris banyak terlibat dalam organisasi kemahasiswaan yang melibatkan mahasiswa-mahasiswa dari berbagai negara.[butuh rujukan] Semenjak kuliah, Charles Honoris aktif menulis mengenai politik, HAM, dan hubungan internasional di beberapa media nasional Indonesia.[butuh rujukan]

Keluarga

Charles adalah putra kelima dari Luntungan Honoris, seorang pengusaha nasional yang dikabarkan bersama Bill Gates dan tujuh pengusaha nasional lainnya telah mendonasikan 80 juta dolar Amerika Serikat untuk program kesehatan nasional di Indonesia. Luntungan Honoris tercatat sebagai presiden komisaris Modernland dan anggota Dewan Pelindung Kerukunan Keluarga Sulawesi Selatan.[2]

Anggota DPR RI 2014-2019

Charles Honoris memperoleh suara terbanyak di Dapil DKI III dengan 96.842 suara mengalahkan seniornya Effendi Simbolon dan Ketua DPR RI Marzuki Alie (dari Partai Demokrat).[2] Charles ditugaskan di Komisi I DPR RI yang membidangi Pertahanan, Luar Negeri, Intelijen dan Komunikasi Informatika.[4]

Anggota DPR RI 2019-2024

Pada pemilu 2019 Charles Honoris memperoleh 102.408 suara dan kembali duduk sebagai anggota DPR RI[5].
