Chain adalah album mini debut Jepang oleh grup vokal pria Korea Selatan dan sub-unit dari NCT, NCT 127. Album ini dirilis pada 23 Mei 2018 oleh perusahaan rekaman Jepang Avex Trax. Album ini dirilis dalam 13 edisi: 10 CD (sembilan merupakan gambar sampul individu edisi terbatas dan sebuah CD biasa), dua CD+DVD (satu edisi terbatas dan satu edisi normal), dan sebuah pita kaset edisi terbatas.[1]

Album mini ini debut pada peringkat ke-2 di tangga lagu Oricon Weekly Albums dengan 44,832 terjual pada minggu pertama perilisan.[2] Album ini terjual dengan total 49,289 kopi di Jepangn.[3]

Album ini merupakan album terakhir NCT 127 dengan sembilan anggota, sebelum penambahan Jungwoo ke dalam grup pada bulan September.

Latar belakang dan perilisan

Pada akhir 2017, SM Entertainment mengumumkan bahwa NCT 127 akan menjadi salah satu dari dua grup idola yang akan debut dan melakukan tur di Jepang pada musim semi 2018, di mana grup lainnya adalah Red Velvet.[4][5] Pada 31 Maret 2018, judul dari album mini serta gambar sampul album dan daftar lagu dirilis.[6]
