Cabai setan adalah salah-satu cabai terpedas di dunia. Cabai ini berasal dari timur laut India (Assam, Nagaland dan Manipur) dan Bangladesh. Dalam bahasa Assam dan Bengali, cabai ini disebut bhūt jolokia, artinya "cabai setan", atau nāgā marica (নাগা মরিচ), artinya "cabai naga".
Pada 2006 diumumkan oleh Guinness World Records sebagai cabai terpedas di dunia dengan tingkat kepedasan mencapai 1.001.304 skala Scoville. Hal ini berarti jauh lebih pedas dari cabai rawit. Hanya saja, sejak tahun 2011, posisinya sudah digantikan oleh Trinidad Moruga Scorpion yang berbentuk seperti habanero namun lebih pedas lagi dibanding cabai setan.
Bentuk cabai ini keriput dan ukurannya gemuk kecil. Penduduk Assam percaya bahwa banyak makan cabai Bhut Jolokia dapat membantu memerangi penyakit reumatik, kanker, osteoporosis, menurunkan tekanan darah dan kolesterol. Cabai sendiri mengandung:

Riset yang dilakukan departemen pertahanan India menyebutkan, cabai setan jika diolah menjadi granat tangan bisa menjadi senjata untuk melawan ekstrimis agar keluar dari persembunyiannya atau membubarkan massa.
