Burzum adalah proyek solo musisi black metal Norwegia Varg Vikernes yang dimulai pada tahun 1991. Mulanya ia menggunakan nama panggung Count Grishnackh. Vikernes telah menjalani hukuman penjara karena pembunuhan mantan rekannya di band Mayhem, Øystein Aarseth atau Euronymous, dan setelah bebas pada tahun 2009 mulai proyeknya lagi.

Awalnya musik Burzum dipengaruhi oleh literatur Tolkien, misalnya nama Count Grishnackh diambil dari salah satu orc dalam buku Lord of the Rings. "Burzum" berasal dari Penuturan Hitam Mordor dan artinya "kegelapan".

Lama kelamaan musik Burzum berubah dari black metal menjadi ambient dan minimalis. Banyak orang menuduh Vikernes menganut paham Nazi, tetapi hal ini disangkalnya karena menurutnya ia "tidak menganut nasional-sosialisme". Walaupun demikian saat ini penjualan album Burzum dilarang di eBay karena alasan ideologi rasis dan fasisme.
