Bonorowo (bahasa Jawa: ꦧꦤꦫꦮ, translit. Banarawa) adalah sebuah Kecamatan di Kabupaten Kebumen, Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Kecamatan Bonorowo merupakan pemekaran dari Kecamatan Mirit sesuai Perda Nomor 19 Tahun 2001. Jarak Kecamatan Bonorowo dari Kota Kebumen adalah 25 Km melalui Kecamatan Prembun. Luas wilayahnya mencapai 20,91 Km², dan jumlah penduduknya 18.665 jiwa (Laki-laki 9.266 Jiwa dan Perempuan 9.399 Jiwa. Kecamatan Bonorowo terdiri atas 11 desa, 40 RW, dan 139 RT. Pusat Pemerintahan Kecamatan Bonorowo berada di Desa Bonorowo. Kecamatan Bonorowo berbatasan dengan Kecamatan Butuh dibagian timur, Kecamatan Prembun di bagian utara dan untuk barat dan selatan berbatasan dengan Kecamatan Mirit
Kecamatan Bonorowo seluruhnya memiliki topografi berupa dataran rendah. Ketinggian rata-rata Kecamatan Bonorowo adalah 8 meter di atas permukaan air laut. Kondisi tersebut membuat kecamatan ini rawan banjir berupa genangan di lahan pertanian. Kecamatan Bonorowo dibelah oleh salah satu sungai besar di Kabupaten Kebumen yaitu Kali Medono (Sungai Gentan) dan Sungai Gebang dibatas sebelah timur berbatasan langsung dengan Kabupaten Purworejo. Kecamatan Bonorowo yang beriklim tropis dengan dua musim dalam satu tahunnya yaitu musim kemarau dan penghujan, dengan suhu udara pada siang hari berkisar antara 26 - 33 derajat Celcius.
Penggunaan lahan di Kecamatan Bonorowo umumnya digunakan sebagai lahan pertanian palawija dan sentra buah serta sayur mayur di sebelah selatan. Disebelah utara umumnya digunakan untuk tanaman padi terutama dimusim penghujan, namun mengingat sepanjang tahun lahan pertanian sering dilanda banjir dan genangan air, hasil pertanian padi kurang menguntungkan. Sebagian besar lahan perasawahan di Kecamatan Bonorowo merupakan jenis sawah irigasi dari Waduk Wadaslintang. Hasil bumi Kecamatan Bonorowo berupa sayur-mayur, buah buahan, palawija, padi, dan nira kelapa.
Transportasi di Kecamatan Bonorowo berupa angkutan kota berupa angkutan desa yang menghubungkan sejumlah desa di Kecamatan Bonorowo dengan jalur nasional di Kecamatan Prembun untuk selanjutnya menggunakan angkutan kota menuju Kota Kebumen dan kota lainnya.
Sebagian besar penduduk Kecamatan Bonorowo berprofesi sebagai petani, buruh tani, Ibu Rumah Tangga, Wiraswasta dan PNS. Umumnya penduduk usia produktif pergi merantau atau bersekolah ke kota besar seperti Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, Bekasi (Jabotabek), Kota Bandung, Kota Semarang, Kota Surabaya, Kota Yogyakarta, dan sejumlah kota besar di luar pulau seperti Sumatra dan Kalimantan. Mayoritas penduduk Kecamatan Bonorowo memeluk agama Islam. Jenjang pendidikan yang dicapai penduduk di wilayah ini adalah hingga Universitas meski sebagiaan besar tamatan Sekolah menengah pertama dan Sekolah menengah atas.
Sarana publik di Kecamatan Bonorowo cukup bagus dengan adanya pasar tradisonal, mushola, masjid, gereja, serta fasilitas kesehatan. Berikut di antaranya:
