Jacob (Bob) den Uyl (27 Maret 1930 – 13 Februari 1992) adalah seorang penulis Belanda, kebanyakan bergenre cerita pendek.[1] Sebagian besar gaya tulisannya bersifat ironis dan jeli.[1] Tema yang paling menonjol dalam karyanya adalah ketidakjelasan tujuan dan absurditas eksistensi.[1] Sebelumnya sebagian besar karyanya terdiri dari cerita absurd.[1] Dalam karya-karya lanjutannya, fokus tulisannya lebih cenderung ke kisah-kisah otobiografi, sebagian besar lagi berkaitan dengan perjalanan (dengan sepeda) di negara-negara tetangga Belanda.[1] Beberapa karyanya adalah sebagai berikut:

Selama hidupnya Den Uyl memenangkan hadiah di bidang literatur sebagai berikut:

  • Pada tahun 1965, "Proza Prijs" diberikan oleh kota Amsterdam oleh Vogels Kijken
  • Pada tahun 1968, "Anna Blaman-prijs" sebagai Een zachte fluittoon
  • Pada tahun 1976, "Multatuli-prijs" sebagai God wegen zijn duister en zelden aangenaam

Pada tahun 2004, dewan redaksi dari VPRO-Gids membuat ajang penghargaan Bob den Uyl untuk cerita bertema perjalanan.[2] Beberapa cerita yang dikumpulkan telah anumerta diterbitkan.[2] Pada tahun 2008, Nico Keuning menerbitkan biografi Bob den Uyl.[2]
