Blades of Blood (Hangul: 구름 을 벗어난 달처럼; RR: Gureumeul Beoseonan Dalcheoreom; lit. "Like the Moon Escaping from the Clouds") adalah film drama laga Korea Selatan tahun 2010 yang disutradarai oleh Lee Joon-ik. Film ini didasarkan pada novel grafis karya Park Heung-yong Like the Moon Escaping from the Clouds.[1]

Alur

Pada akhir abad ke-16, Kerajaan Joseon jatuh ke dalam kekacauan oleh ancaman invasi Jepang. Lee Mong-hak (Cha Seung-won), seorang keturunan tak sah dari cabang keluarga dari dinasti yang berkuasa, dan pendekar buta legendaris Hwang Jeong-hak (Hwang Jung-min) adalah sekutu pernah yang bermimpi untuk menghalau dan menghadapi invasi Jepang, ketidaksetaraan sosial dan korupsi, dan menciptakan dunia yang lebih baik. Dianiaya oleh istana, Lee membentuk tentara pemberontak dengan harapan untuk menggulingkan raja yang tidak kompeten dan mengambil tahta untuk dirinya sendiri. Lee bersedia untuk membunuh dengan gegabah dan mengkhianati mantan rekannya untuk menempa jalan berdarah ke istana. Kyeon-ja adalah anak haram dari keluarga yang dibunuh oleh Mong-hak. Hwang Jeong-hak menyelamatkan dia dari cedera yang disebabkan oleh Mong-hak. Bersama mereka dua melakukan pencarian untuk Mong-hak dengan perintah untuk menghadapinya dan membunuhnya.

Produksi

Aktor Hwang Jung-min mengekspresikan kesulitan dirinya untuk memerankan karakter buta dalam film ini. Hwang pergi untuk ke sekolah orang-orang buta untuk mempelajari gerakan mereka, tetapi ia menyatakan bahwa "masih tidak mudah untuk memerankan peran ini".[2]

Rilis

Blades of Blood ditayangkan perdana pada tanggal 29 April 2010 di Korea Selatan.[3] Serial televisi ini dibuka pada nomor dua dalam film laris, menghasilkan US$2,675,391 pada 603 layar.[4] Secara keseluruhan total film ini memperoleh 1,389,295 tiket yang terjual di seluruh negara dengan pendapatan kotor domestik sebesar US$8,217,720.[5][6]
