Bendungan Way Sekampung adalah sebuah bendungan yang dibangun di Pringsewu, Lampung untuk membendung aliran dari Sungai Sekampung.

Sejarah

Bendungan ini mulai dibangun pada tahun 2016 dan dapat diselesaikan pada tahun 2021. Bendungan ini kemudian diresmikan oleh Presiden Joko Widodo pada tanggal 2 September 2021.[1][2]

Manfaat

Selain untuk mengairi lahan pertanian seluas 72.707 hektar, bendungan ini juga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mereduksi debit banjir sebesar 185 meter kubik per detik dan menyediakan air baku sebanyak 2,48 meter kubik per detik bagi masyarakat Bandar Lampung, Metro, dan Lampung Selatan. Air yang terbendung oleh bendungan ini juga berpotensi untuk membangkitkan listrik melalui PLTA berkapasitas 5,40 MW.[3]

Selain itu, bendungan ini juga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sarana budidaya perikanan air tawar, sarana olahraga air, sarana rekreasi, dsb.
