Bell D-292

Bell D-292 adalah sebuah helikopter eksperimental Amerika yang dikembangkan oleh Bell Helicopters untuk United States Army Advanced Composite Airframe Program (ACAP) sebagai bagian dari studi yang terlibat dalam program Light Helicopter Experimental (LHX).

Bell D-292 dikembangkan di bawah US Army's Advanced Composite Airframe Program (ACAP) yang merupakan proyek untuk mengembangkan sebuah pesawat helikopter semua - komposit jauh lebih ringan dan lebih murah untuk membangun didominasi airframes logam dalam mendukung program LHX.[1] [2] Pada Februari 1981, kontrak diberikan kepada Sikorsky dan Bell Helikopter, dengan mengirimkan Sikorsky S - 75.[3] Kedua perusahaan itu untuk membangun tiga airframes, satu artikel alat -bukti, satu artikel statis -test dan sebuah penerbangan - kendaraan uji.[3]
