Bazar (Persia: بازار, Turki: pazar, Hindi: बाज़ार, Yunani: παζάρι (pazari), Yunani Cypriot: pantopoula[1]) adalah sebuah wilayah berdagang permanen, pasar, atau jalan di mana toko-toko barang dan jasa dipertukarkan atau dijual. Kata ini berasal dari bahasa Persia, bāzār, etimologi yang akan kembali ke kata Persia Tengah baha-char (بهاچار), yang berarti "tempat harga".[2] Meskipun arti kata saat ini diyakini berasal di Persia, penggunaannya telah menyebar dan sekarang telah diterima ke dalam bahasa setempat di negara-negara di seluruh dunia.[3] Di Amerika Utara, istilah ini dapat digunakan sebagai sinonim untuk "penjualan barang-barang bekas", untuk menggambarkan acara penggalangan dana amal yang diselenggarakan oleh gereja atau organisasi masyarakat lainnya, yang disumbangkan, barang bekas, seperti buku, pakaian, dan barang-barang rumah tangga yang dijual dengan harga yang rendah, atau lain barang mungkin baru dan buatan tangan, pada bazar gereja Natal.
