Santa Batildis (meninggal 680) adalah seorang santa dari Prancis yang pernah memerintah negara sebagai ratu.[1][2] Batildis lahir di Inggris.[2] Ia menjadi budak dan dijual kepada seorang mayor dari tentara kerajaan Prancis.[2] Karena tingkah laku dan kecantikannya, raja menikahinya.[1][2] Ia dan suaminya memiliki tiga orang anak.[2] Ketika raja wafat, Batildis menggantikan suaminya untuk memerintah kerajaan sebab putera mereka belum dewasa.[1][2] Ketika memerintah sebagai ratu, ia dikenal sebagai penguasa yang bijaksana dan jujur.[2] Batildis melakukan hal-hal baik bagi rakyat, termasuk memberi nafkah kepada para budak.[2] Ia memerintah selama tujuh tahun, dan ketika anaknya telah dewasa untuk menjadi raja, ia mengundurkan diri dari jabatannya.[1][2] Setelah itu, Batildis meninggalkan istana dan segala kemewahannya dan pergi ke sebuah biara yang sederhana di Chelles.[1][2] Di situ, ia menjadi biarawati biasa dan melakukan perkerjaan yang sangat sederhana.[2]
