Bani Sa'idah

Bani Sa'idah (bahasa Arab: بنو ساعدة, translit. Banu Sā'idah) adalah salah satu klan Bani Khazraj di Madinah pada zaman Muhammad.[1] Nama lengkap suku tersebut adalah Banu Sa'idah bin Ka'ab bin al-Khazraj.[2]

Sebelum masuk Islam, sebagian besar anggota klan menyembah berhala, yang dihancurkan setelah kedatangan Islam.[3] Sekutu atau klien Yahudi mereka disebutkan dalam Konstitusi Madinah .[4][5]

Sa'ad bin Ubadah dari Bani Sa'idah menjadi terkenal dan berpengaruh di kalangan Anshar, yang berkumpul untuk berjanji setia kepadanya setelah kematian Muhammad.[6][7] Pertemuan ini, diselenggarakan di halaman (Saqifah) klan, mengakibatkan Abu Bakar dinobatkan sebagai khalifah pertama dari kekhalifahan Rasyidin.[8]
