Bahasa di Suriah

Bahasa Arab adalah bahasa resmi Suriah dan merupakan bahasa yang paling banyak dipakai di negara tersebut.[1][2] Beberapa logat Arab modern dipakai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, terutama bahasa Arab Syam di barat dan bahasa Arab Mesopotamia di timur laut.

Menurut The Encyclopedia of Arabic Language and Linguistics, selain bahasa Arab, bahasa-bahasa berikut ini dipakai di negara tersebut, diurutkan menurut jumlah pemakai, bahasa Kurdi,[1] bahasa Turki,[1] Neo-Aram (empat logat),[1] bahasa Sirkasia,[1] bahasa Chechen,[1] bahasa Armenia,[1] dan terakhir bahasa Yunani.[1] Tak ada diantara bahasa-bahasa tersebut yang memiliki status resmi.[1]
