Australian Associated Press

Australian Associated Press (disingkat: AAP) adalah sebuah kantor berita nasional di Australia yang didirikan pada tahun 1935. Kegiatan operasional Australian Associated Press hampir dihentikan pada tahun 2020 tetapi berlanjut melalui pembelian terutang dan pemecatan sebagian besar karyawannya.

Pendirian

Australian Associated Press didirikan pada tahun 1935 dengan kantor pusat di Sydney.[1]

Penutupan

Pada tanggal 3 Maret 2020, Australian Associated Press mengumumkan penutupan bisnis jaringan beritanya pada Juni 2020. Namun penutupan dibatalkan setelah diadakan pembelian terutang oleh seorang filantropi. Australian Associated Press tetap melanjutkan bisnisnya tetapi sebanyak 80-90 karyawannya dipecat.[2]
