Atul Gawande (lahir 5 November 1965) adalah seorang dokter bedah, penulis dan peneliti kesehatan masyarakat Amerika Serikat. Ia mempraktekkan pembedahan umum dan pembedahan endokrin di Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts. Ia adalah seorang profesor dalam Jurusan Kebijakan dan Penanganan Kesehatan di Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health dan Samuel O. Thier Professor of Surgery di Harvard Medical School. Dalam kesehatan masyarakat, ia menjadi direktur eksekutif Ariadne Labs, sebuah pusat bersama untuk inovasi sistem kesehatan, dan ketua Lifebox, sebuah organisasi nirlaba yang bekerja untuk mengurangi kematian dalam pembedahan secara global.[2] Pada 20 Juni 2018, Gawande diangkat menjadi CEO perusahaan perawatan kesehatan Haven, yang dimiliki oleh Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway, dan JP Morgan Chase dan mundur dari jabatan CEO pada Mei 2020.[3]
